Family NEVER Leaves Your Side!

Life is crazy. A roller coaster ride full of highs, lows, ups & downs. Once you grow up & get thrown into the world of reality, life becomes difficult. You’re put in compromising situations, where the best possible decision that you make is also possibly the worst! You might meet new people & make new friends, but you also lose a lot along the way. You fall in love. You fall out of love.

Things change. As someone wisely said, change is the only constant in life. The one thing, however that sticks with you through EVERY situation is family. No matter how difficult the times, no matter how happy the occasion, your family will hold your hand through thick & thin, give you a helping hand when you’re low & make you feel on top of the world even when you have the worst of days!

So as busy as you might be in life today, take some time out for those special people that have moved mountains behind the scenes just to make your dreams come true… your family! J

Rahul Raichand - The perfect father

A father is neither an anchor to hold us back, nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way. He is our teacher, guide, friend & philosopher.  He is the root of the family which holds the family together.

Amitabh Bachchan is a great example of a perfect father. In Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, he played the role of Yashvardhan Raichand - a father who was fiercely dominating but at the same time he was loving, caring & the pillar of the family. Rahul Raichand & Rohan Raichand was a reflection of Yashvardhan Raichand. He was a great example to his children. He didn't tell them how to live; he lived & let them watch him do it. That’s what a father does.

To be a father is the greatest gift god can ever give... Happy Father’s Day!

Rahul and Anjali's hilarious encounter

Love at first sight is what happened to Rahul when he saw Anjali for the first time in Chandani Chowk. Their mazaaki encounter made us all chuckle. The scene had all the hilarious elements, right from Anjali mistaking Rahul for being Ashfaq miyaa, to all the shayaris, to the tongue twister “Chandu ke chacha ne chandu ke chachi ko chandani raat mei chandani chowk mei chandi ke chamche se chatni chataee” and the dialogue “bade mazakiya ho” which we all enjoyed. Watch now to get on the joy ride with Rahul and Anjali.

A journey of brotherhood

A brother shares childhood memories & grown up dreams. This is undoubtedly what Rohan & Rahul shared. Rohan & Rahul's relationship was short lived as Rahul was forced to leave his family for unforeseen circumstances. 10 years later when Rohan wanted to know what really happened that brought a drift in his family, he took an oath to bring his family together. He was the sole reason why the Raichands were back together. Rohan is surely the kind of brother everyone wants to have.

Rahul Raichand

Though adopted by Yash Raichand and Nandini Raichand, Rahul Raichand was highly doted by them. He respected them and cared for them more than anything. The only mistake he did was he fell in love with a girl he knew that his parents will never accept. This shattered the Raichand family and made Rahul leave the house and his parents for the love of his life. Despite staying away from home, Rahul was well-rooted to his family and missed his parents the most. He truly depicts the role of an ideal son.

Happy Birthday Amitabh Bachchan

The superstar, the mega star, the star of the millennium… Amitabh Bachchan!! No matter how many adjectives you attach to this name, it still would not measure enough for coming close to complimenting this super personality. He has been an inspiration and has proved it to the world that, “Actions speak louder than words”!!
He is that kind of an actor, who can blend into any type of role at any given point. Romance in different decades!!

The first thought that comes to your head when you hear or read about Bollywood, is romance!! Romance is the true flavor of Bollywood, be it an action movie, comedy movie or a thriller, the movie will always have the tinge of romance to its theme!!
All the great movies, from the black and white days to present day in Bollywood, have romance as their primary theme. Even at Dharma Productions, romance as a theme has done wonders for its audience and the production house.
Movies like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, ‘My Name is Khan’, ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, etc. have romance as one of the important aspects of the theme.
Though, with time the method and mentality of romance has changed, the main subject and the idea remains the same. In the 90’s, the Hero would do a grand romantic song to floor the heroine or woo her with a big romantic dialogue which would end up then as a match made in heaven. Romance today has become extremely open ended, with the heroines not hesitating to go on their knees and proposing to their heroes!! No matter what happens, there is one good thing that, Love will always be in the air!! :)

Some of Kajol's funny moments while shooting for KKHH and K3G

Kajol is one of the finest actresses of Indian cinema. She comes out with some brilliant on screen performances but there are some really cute and funny moments that are associated with her brilliant performances.
Her fighting scenes with Rahul in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ to her ‘bade mazakiyaan ho’ dialogue from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, are one of the favorites for her fans.
Both the movies ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ have Kajol displaying one of her best on screen performances. During the shoot of these movies she had some blooper moments which are still recollected by her and the film unit as some funny moments during the shoot.
In ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, while shooting for ‘Yeh ladka’ where they had to ride a cycle in one of the scenes, Kajol had a bad fall while riding a cycle for the song sequence. Later this became a topic of laughter for the entire team.
In ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, Kajol had a bad fall while shooting for the scene where her son in the movie performed on the stage and she had to run towards the stage to hug him.
From both the stories it is evident that this actress adds charm and fun to the movies on screen and off screen!! :)

Hrithik Roshan hits Punit Malhotra for a six

For all those who swear by Dharma movies, here is a trivia that will definitely catch your attention. The scene where Hrithik Roshan hits a six to take his team to victory in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham is pretty much set in your mind. The batsman you know too well, but take a close look at the bowler, do you know who he is?
Assistant director of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and the director of the hit romantic-comedy, I Hate Luv Storys – Punit Malhotra – is the one who comes charging in to try and bowl out Hrithik in one of the more emotional moments in the movie.

K3G shall always be remembered as a movie that is made up of a number of touching and poignant scenes that sees the movie develop an emotional bond with the audience.
In fact, Dharma movies have always stood by this theory and almost all of their movies have a gamut of emotions running as the underlying theme – be it ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ or ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ or ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ itself. And Punit Malhotra has played an important role in Dharma movies right since the K3G days, both as an assistant director and as the actor who bowled the final delivery to Hrithik Roshan in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ to being the director of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’…

Mothers are your Best Friends

Mothers are there with us in our worst and the best times. They would cry with us and for us… they stand by us in our tough times and motivate us to have the best in life. A mother does everything that a friend must ideally do. They compliment us even on our bad hair day and fight for us even against our weakest contenders.

Rahul and Maa portray friendship in the best possible way. Best friends don’t have to speak it out for conveying a message; they feel the happiness and the pain even in each other’s absence.  Distance and time gap puts no difference to the magnitude of this friendship. Rahul jab bhi Maa ke paas aata hai, Maa ko uska ehsaas apne aap ho jaata hai!!  ‘Maa ke haathon se bane laddoo se lekar maa ka aashirwaad’, are filled with love, affection and friendship!! My mother is my best friend… 
