Repair Almost Anything

In an age when everything right from tissues to relationships are used, thrown and disposed, Rizwan Khan and Mandira come to reinstate the belief in everlasting relationships. Rizwan who suffers from the Asperger’s Syndrome and is termed autistic or abnormal, turned out to be more intelligent and considerate about people and relationships. Sticking by his mother’s childhood lessons, Rizwan never differentiates between people on the basis of false grounds such as caste, religion, etc. For him, the real demarcation of people was their deeds, so for him there were only good and bad people. Rizwan did all he could to repair his relationship, his love and his marriage because he believed that relationships were meant to last till death, they need not be dumped but repaired.

We absolutely love Rizwan Khan for reinstating this beautiful lesson! Do you agree?

Family: A bond forever!

Family is the first place where a person learns, lives and loves. Family means believing, loving and supporting each other at every step. The first baby step is marked by the upbringing of your mother, the first communication is learned by your father, and the first relationship of friendship is made with the sibling. It’s one of the only places where you share unconditional love. Mom is the one who will always hold onto you and never let you go, dad is the one who will always want you to grow and advice good decision making and sibling will always make you feel protected from every possible obstacle.
One such lovely family is that of Rizwan. He loves his wife and kid unconditionally and wants the best for them.

True Love Is Unconditional

There are very few fortunate people who know the meaning of true love. Love only knows giving. It spreads happiness around. When a person truly loves you, he wouldn't expect anything in return. That is how Rizwan loved Mandira.. All that he wanted was just to see her happy. He'd do anything to just see the smile on her face. But true love isn't easy, it needs to be fought for. You have to be worth it to be with a person like Rizwan. Mandira's love for Rizwan was the same. She loved him for all his strengths & weakness.

A person who loves you truly will never judge you but will love you unconditionally.

All For Love...

Love can never come with conditions. If it does it’s not true. True love doesn't expect anything in return. Love knows no boundary. It just spreads happiness around.

People have their own special & unique ways of expressing their love. Rizwan had his own different ways to show his honest & true love for Mandira. It was for that love, he went on the longest journey of his life, and achieved that which no one else could have! That's the power of pure, unadulterated, unconditional love :)

Little Gestures that mean LOVE...

In the modern world, everyone is busy with their own lives. Love, marriage, job, children- everything is just another task waiting to be accomplished. Everybody seems to be living life in the fast lane, with no time to stop or even slow down & appreciate the finer things in life. What people don't realize is that life doesn't have to be so mechanical... in order to show you care- little gestures can do wonders.

Rizwan (My Name Is Khan) could not share his feelings freely, yet he had his own special way of expressing his love to Mandira. More so than often, even words weren't necessary for Mandira to know that Rizwan truly cared for her! After all, actions do speak louder than words :)

So every once in a while, be it by means of a single flower or a box of chocolates, let your special someone know how much you mean to them. These little gestures are after all stepping stones towards the path of happiness!

Old is Gold

Whenever we speak about Dharma Movies one of the first movies that comes to your mind is Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, made in 1998 directed by Karan Johar this movie touched millions of heart and we are proud to be associated with it. We love when we hear our fans talk great things about Dharma Movies.

But more happier moments are when movies released a decade back still get praises from today's generation after watching it. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was telecasted at a local channel in Asia and it trended worldwide on a micro-blogging site called 'Twitter' :) The same activity was repeated when My Name is Khan was telecasted in London and it trended for more than an hour!

Thank you everyone for loving our movies even after so long. Another Dharma Movie that is coming on your home screen in India, is the recently released Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu on 13th May, 2012 at 12pm and repeat at 8pm - Sony TV. Hope it will continue to spread the magic like our other movies.

Dharma Women

Women play endless role and are an important part of our lives. Everything is incomplete without them, even the Indian film industry. This can be seen in various Dharma Movies, where women have been marked as a pillar without whom the movie would not make any sense, not only this, Karan has successfully portrayed various shades of women through the different characters in Dharma Movies

Starting from 'Gumrah' released in 1993, a story about Roshni who fights against the injustice done to her with courage and strength. In Kurbaan, another character Avantika portrayed the characteristics like courage, loyalty and Independent when she is betrayed by her own husband and fights against terrorism. Other special mentions include Mandira Khan - wife of Rizwan Khan, who pushes her husband away just to receive justice for her son. Similarly, there is Nanadini Raichand, Anjali from K3G. Tina and so on.

Dharma dedicated a whole day to it's Dharma Women. Click here > https://pinterest.com/dharmamovies/happy-women-s-day/ to pick your favorite Character!

Student of the Year is on the roll!

Dharma Production’s one of the most awaited movie Student of the Year has been real busy with its shooting schedule. Recently according to Karan Johar’s tweet, “Am off for another outdoor of SOTY....am filming my favourite song in the album with farah!!! On flight with the newbies..will connect soon!”  Tells us about the latest shooting of SOTY song choreographed by none other than Farah Khan!

After the success of Agneepath which turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of the year, came Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu which was a hit. Hence, overall it was a great start for Dharma Productions. Also, unlike any other year for the first time Dharma is releasing more than one movie in a year. With two movies already down the road the next in line is Student of the Year.

Directed by Karan Johar, this is after 2 years when Karan has gone behind the cameras after directing the block buster My Name Is Khan, how can we forget the news about Dharma launching new faces in this movie which has never happened before, starring David Dhawan’s son Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. After all this surprises, Karan Johar has yet again hit us with another one, he recently official announced about the new entry in SOTY and he is Kayoze Irani, son of the super talented Boman Irani!

“Ok...that's kayoze irani!!! @kayoze..boman irani's super talented son who we are introducing in SOTY” (image given below). For those who think this is the first time Kayoze will be associate with Dharma Productions then you are wrong. Hardly anyone knows that Kayoze Irani was assisting Shakun Batra for Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. This is first time, he will be testing his acting skills and however, being the son of Boman Irani we can already imagine how it would we, now can’t we?

Father & Son bonding in Dharma Production movies...

Morning freshness, the freshness of a new relationship, the freshness of the first rain, etc. are special and magical but the freshness of a father and son relationship is the most soothing and non tangible feeling in the world.
Many movies at Dharma Productions have portrayed the daddy and son bonding. From Yash Raichand-Rahul and Rohan Raichand (Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham), Sexy Sam & Rishi (Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna), Dev & Arjun (Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna), Rizwan & Sameer (My Name is Khan), etc.  If you notice, all the mentioned father and son bonding have been extremely strong and inspiring.
It is a relationship that is not taught into ones head but which comes upon naturally. At times it is difficult to act out some really strong and emotional scenes. But the ones in these movies have been loved and applauded all over the world for connecting with the fathers and in some or the other way. As some say… “From the father…it goes to the son!!” :)
Watch the famous father and son scene from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham:
