Do you like watching Bollywood movies? Do you like roamntic movies? Do you go to watch movies first day, first show? Do you think your love life is just like a romantic movie love story?

Well if not you, Simran surely thinks like that. She loves watching every Hindi movie, she is a Shah Rukh Khan fan and watches all his movies first day, first show. Simran loves the fact that she is a Bollywood movie buff and at the same time proud of it. She is happy in her own filmi world.

Day dreaming!!!

The feeling of being in love is one of the most beautiful feeling. The world is a different place altogether & everything around seems so loving. Your mind and heart just can't stop thinking of that special someone. There are jitters in your stomach, there is a smile on your face for no reason. Its the happiness which love gets with itself that changes everything around.

Same is the case with Simran who is deeply in love. Simran is daydreaming about the person she loves the most. Has this ever happened with you too?

Love: Two sided sword

Isn't the feeling of being in love very beautiful? The whole world looks so happy and merry. Your vision to everything has a lovely approach. You tend to day dream, laugh on thinking about the stupid things you have done when you were with that special someone or randomly remembering a small lovely gesture of your loved one and then there is a big smile on your face. There is no anger, no frustration, no grumpiness but only love and love.

Simran is in love and she is a big fan of romantic movies and Bollywood. Jay on the other side thinks that there is nothing like love and that it is a waste of time. But with time Jay also could not control himself on falling in love. Love can happen anytime and anywhere to anyone.

Love... And the color Red!

When it comes to telling someone you 'LOVE' them, what's the first thing that comes to mind? A romantic walk on the beach... a candle-lit dinner in the middle of nowhere... or a cheesy, romantic classic at the cinema? Well, we think it's the color red!

No matter what it is that you plan for your loved one, no matter how exclusive the proposal, you can't ignore the presence of the color of love! Years & years of TV shows & movies have taught us that this one color is enough to signify your love for that special someone...

Be it Naina from Kal Ho Naa Ho or Jay from I Hate Luv Storys, everybody does eventually succumb to the power of the color of love! Have you too? :)

Happy Birthday Shreya Ghoshal !!

Here’s wishing Shreya Ghoshal, the melodious voice of Indian cinema a very Happy Birthday!! She manages to capture every emotion and lends out a versatile note to each of the tracks she sings. Be it the romantic song Bahara from ‘I Hate Love Story’s’ that was so romantic or Shukran Allah from ‘Kurbaan’ which was so soothing that one would love to hear it on their way to work, to even the item number Chikni Chameli from ‘Agneepath’ which was the chart buster playing at every night club, she has emerged as one of the most prolific playback singers in recent times. Her latest song Radha from ‘Student of the Year’ is a favorite across all age groups. She blends traditional with modern style of singing effortlessly managing to belt out her vocals from Kareena to Alia. We hope that she spreads a lot more love through her voice winning a lot more hearts in the coming years!

Jay and Simran are a perfect example of Opposites attract

Opposites attract, and sometimes they do fall in love too, that’s exactly what happened with Jay and Simran. They had absolutely nothing in common. Simran was romantic at heart, she was totally awed by Bollywood romance and wanted to have a love story like Ken and Barbie. She loved her work and was very professional and disciplined.  On the other hand Jay who had detestation for love stories, was laid back and agnostic about love. At first they despised each other, however their hatred slowly transformed into affection.

Young directors, young actors, new ideas... The Future of Bollywood!!

Today if you have a look at any field, the demand for young blood and young ideas is at the peak. From politics to movies or as a matter of fact wherever we go, the need of young blood is what the world is talking about.

This spirited demand for youth is not a trend but a necessity and it is not just theory but has been proven on the real front. Some great movies have been made by new directors with new actors and new ideas. There is a pool of ideas which have to be picked, nourished and pushed.

Be it any movie at Dharma Productions, there has been an element of youth everywhere. It’s been 3 decades of movie making at Dharma Productions and one can observe a young character, idea or creator behind every project.

With the help of new ideas and existing super mentors, hope the audiences get more than their expectation, because youth is here to stay and youth will be needed forever!! :)

Some movies with the flavour of youth made by Dharma Productions: Dostana, Wake Up Sid, I Hate Luv Storys, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, etc.

Imran Khan Shares his experience about Dharma Productions

Imran Khan is completely impressed with Karan Johar and Dharma productions. His upcoming movie with the production house, ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ in which he is featuring with Kareena Kapoor has already creating a buzz in the filmy duniya.
They just had a still photo shoot for the publicity of the movie, and both Imran and Kareena looked fabulous together. He has already gone praising his ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ co-star for her extreme brilliance, on screen as well as off screen.
After ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, Imran is more than glad to be back with Dharma Productions. He feels that Karan supported him and believed in him when he was at the lowest point in his career and offered him with ‘I Hate Luv Storys’. He remembers having spent some really great moments while shooting for ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ with Karan and Punit Malhotra (director of IHLS). He is extremely happy to be back with Dharma Productions on ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ and working with Kareena and Shakun Batra (director of EMAET).
Imran has even sent out a message to Karan Johar on the Official Dharma Productions YouTube channel where he wishes Karan Happy birthday and shares his experience with Dharma productions while shooting for ‘I Hate Luv Storys’. With movies like ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’, Dharma Productions are going to reach different heights in 2012. :)

Dharma Productions gets Innovative

Gone are the days when talent is picked up from the pool of institutions and colleges. It is the age of social media and it looks like Dharma Productions is pretty much savvy with the techniques of social media marketing.
The stereotype of story writing or story telling has taken a huge leap. Realizing this fact, the production house is having an extremely fun and interesting activity on their page. They call this the, ‘Humaara Hero… Aur Aapki Kahaani’ activity or ‘Our Hero… Your Story’.
Anyone can participate in this activity and all that they have to do is to just log in to their Facebook account and participate in this activity on the ‘Dharma Productions’ official Facebook page. In this activity the participants will be given a situation from a Dharma Productions movie, using this participant has to conclude the further part of the scene, different from what it is in the movie.
There is no age or intellect bar to this and people can innovate and elaborate their ways of storytelling.
This proves that, gone are the days when you have to knock at the directors and producer’s doors to display your talents. In this century you just need a computer and internet to possibly become the next big thing!!

New Zealand – India agreement aids Bollywood

New Zealand is becoming quite well-known amongst Indians as one of the hottest destinations to travel to abroad. Its scenic and breathtaking beauty has gained wide appreciation thanks to the number of Bollywood movies being shot there recently. It’s because of this reason that an agreement has been signed between India and New Zealand, which aims at encouraging more co-operation between the two nations' film industries by enhancing screen co-investment, joint creative input and film crew interaction.

Tourism New Zealand research found 30,000 visitors arrived in this country from India in the year to May 2011, up 13% on the previous year. DQ chief executive Tony Everitt said the Bollywood film industry had a great deal of influence on the Indian tourism market, not just on the continent itself, but on wealthy Indians living around the world.

Dharma Productions’ has definitely been a pioneer in shooting at exotic locations all over the world, be it Miami for Dostana, New York for Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna or I Hate Luv Storys in New Zealand.  Although Switzerland was the habitual destination since decades for directors, it’s now out of fashion and New Zealand is all the rage. This agreement is definitely going to give Bollywood an even bigger boost.

Punit Malhotra tops list of promising debut directors

One of India’s most reputed media organizations recently came out with a list of the most promising debutant directors to look out for in the upcoming months. While the list features directors like Abhinav Kashyap (Dabangg), Abhishek Sharma (Tere Bin Laden), Kiran Rao (Dhobi Ghat), and Vikramaditya Motwane (Udaan), guess who topped this pretty prestigious list of names? The young and dashing director of one of the runaway hits of last year, Punit Malhotra himself!

I Hate Luv Storys was a magnum opus and achieved a whopping 60 Crores plus in the box office, securing it as one of the most successful movies released last year. It recently completed its one year anniversary and that too was celebrated in style by its fans. A number of PR articles were released in some of the top most publications on the IHLS anniversary celebrations which took place as well.

This young, energetic and extremely talented director will definitely be on our radar to watch out for. Don’t miss him either!
