That is what Sid believed in and truly followed. His dream to become a photographer. The day he realized it, success was just a step away

As it is rightly said, 'The secret of being happy is accepting where you are in life & making the most out of everyday'. That's exactly what Sid believed in. He wanted to live life as it comes, he believed in filling life with colours, joy & happiness. And the same he did with Aisha's life. Little did Aisha know that her life would completely change once Sid entered in it. Sid is a happy go lucky type & believes in doing what brings happiness to him.

Companion for a lifetime

It’s truly said that the best relationship is where you can act both like friends and lovers. It’s when strangers turn out to be your best friends and slowly you start enjoying their company. It’s when your meaningless life starts becoming meaningful that you want to achieve everything in that one single moment. Where boring night turns to be the best night with a cup of coffee and unending talks. And when in a strange city you are no more alone to celebrate your birthday.

With a bag of clothes Aisha got many dreams along when she came to Mumbai but she dint know Sid would help her in achieving all those dreams.

Follow your passion

Well, the saying goes “Do what you love and love what you do”, but how many of us truly practice this in our everyday life, as much as we preach it? In every nook and corner, we have a student cursing his school and probably the examinations that come along with it or a teacher complaining about her incorrigible class or a software engineer taking out the frustration over his boss on his computer – many more such sights!

But Sid is the one who believed in doing what he loved, and that was his passion was Photography. What is your passion in life and what are you doing for it?

It's all about the right time in life.

Everyone wants to do something constructive in life and earn some self-respect and learn to sustain financially by themselves. However, there is a right time for everything. There’s a time in our life when we have no plans and take life as it comes and there also comes a time in our life we meticulously decide what we want.

Not everyone is perfect – and sometimes, finding and sticking up to our passion is difficult. Yet, Sid does it… Once Sid realizes his potential, he goes out, finds what he loves doing, and does it with his whole heart. And as the time comes, everything else falls in place. 

Love, Life, Work

We all go through a phase in our life when we don't know what we want or what we should do because we're too confused to understand. Its natural. This is the time when we start worrying about our future. Sometimes it takes a while for us to realize our dreams.. But eventually love, life, work & everything else falls in place. There's a right time for everything. We may have different plans for ourselves but life takes it own course. It may not always be in our favour but definitely for good.

Sid was no different than us. He was lost & confused too. He had no plan for his life.. But then he found his way when the time was right!

Following Your Dreams

If you truly love what you do & do it with your heart & soul, nothing can stop you from chasing your dreams & achieving even the impossible!

In Wake Up Sid too, Sid might have lost his way for a little while, but soon enough, he began doing what he truly loved, i.e. photography and eventually, everything fell into place. He found true love & he understood the true meaning of life. As it's rightly said, 'When you truly want something, the entire universe conspires in helping you to achieve it...'

It’s true that you don’t need one particular day in the year to celebrate the beautiful bond of friendship. But with everyone’s lives moving at such a fast pace, we sometimes forget… To meet our friends, to make that phone call that was long overdue, or even send our friend a simple text just letting them know that we’re thinking of them.

That’s where the beauty of Friendship Day kicks in. A day where you get the chance to tell that friend who you haven’t heard from since years, that you still think about them. A day where somehow, that long lost fight over who stole your girlfriend in college just doesn’t seem to matter anymore. What Defines YOU?

As children, decision making comes easy... after all, your parents pretty much lead the way, guiding you through the right path, protecting you from the crutches of all evil & ensuring that you grow up to be mature, independent adults.

Once you grow up however, the reins are handed over to you & you're expected to make every single decision, no matter how big or small, on your own! It sounds pretty intimidating, but it's also one of the best parts about being an adult...

Sid might have lost his way for a little while, but got back on track soon enough. He realized what truly defined him, and what was of utmost importance to him - life, work & love. A combination of the three, and Sid couldn't have asked for anything more! Have you found your defining moment yet?

Rains = Chai, romance & happiness

It's that time of the year when the birds start singing, romance begins to kindle, city lights seem to change, chai walas look happier & the sea becomes even more beautiful! Little kids trotting to school in their cute raincoats, anxious mother waiting for their return holding colorful umbrellas, speeding cars splashing puddle water, it's monsoon!

With monsoon comes to your mind the perfect story of Sid. Isn’t it? An easy-go-lucky guy who loves life rushes back to the spot where he met his love – on a rainy day beside the sea!

Aisha - The new girl in the city !!!

Aisha Banerjee- the Bengali entrant was the new girl in the city. She had left her hometown Kolkata to come to Mumbai to fulfill her dreams. Aisha was an independent, imaginative and confident person. With all her passion and zest she had achieved her goals. On her first day itself in Mumbai she became friends with Sid, who was totally opposite to her. Sid helps Aisha to get acquainted to the city and helped her settle.  Aisha eventually became best of friends with Sid and finally discovers that she is madly in love with him. Aisha is definitely the 21st century woman, and we all do have a little bit of Aisha within us to make things happen in our life. 

Touching Mother-Son Relationship!!

One of the most touching scenes from the movie Wake Up Sid, which struck a perfect chord with the audience was when Sid goes back home to meet his mother. A mother holds her son’s hand for a little while but holds his heart for a lifetime, which was so true because Sid’s mother completely adored him. Sid always disliked his mother’s over affection for him, however when he stayed away from home he missed her love and care a lot. When Sid met his mother they both looked at his childhood album and reminisced his childhood memories captured in the photos. When his mother tried to converse with him in broken English, he asked her to talk in Hindi which she is more comfortable with, to which she replied, “Maybe, if I start talking in English like your friends, we will also become best friends and you will spend more time with me”. This scene perfectly depicted a mother-son relationship leaving the audiences numb.

Sid makes Aisha's birthday special

Aisha was all alone on her birthday and just when Sid gets to know about it, he makes her a jam and bread surprise cake. It is exactly what Aisha needed that night, a close companion who would evade her loneliness. Sid manages to make her feel special with absolutely no macho cool dude act, but just by a charming yet surprising attempt of making her feel delighted. Probably no girl needs a perfect man, she just needs a man who can accept her the way she is and make her feel special. Sometimes the smallest gestures in life can make us feel so cheerful. Sid and Aisha cherished and rejoiced every moment that they spent with each other, that is what made their friendship evolve :)

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani

Get ready this summer to enjoy the good-looking Jodi of the leggy lass Deepika Padukone along with the the dashing Ranbir Kapoor in their next movie ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani’ directed by the ace Ayan Mukerji. This is Ayan’s second movie after Wake up Sid.

The movie is scheduled to release on the 31st May, 2013. Sure, there are still a few months to go but we at Dharma Productions will keep you updated with every new thing on the movie. :)

Friends For Life

Dharma Productions is celebrating Friendship's week like no other! In Dharma movies this relation has been displayed in various ways, which is loved by many :)

Dharma characters connect with audience instantly and build a strong relation with them. Everyone still remembers the Friendship between Rahul and Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to the recent friendship tale of Rahul and Riana... This is a week full of love, emotions and friendship!  Which Dharma character can you relate to, when you think of a 'friend'? 

It's all about GIPPI

Gippi is a upcoming movie of Dharma Productions,  Karan Johar in collaboration with Sajid Nadiawala... This movie is a sure to watch out for.

The two reasons that makes this movie stand out than rest of the Dharma movies is the fact that this is the first time Dharma is launching a debutant director... Okay no, not just a director but a lady director! Yes, Sonam Nair is the director of the movie who also happened to be Ayan Mukherji's Asst. Director in 'Wake Up Sid'!

Now, we are all aware of the romantic movies produced under Dharma one of them being a blockbuster hit which youth of this generation also love - Yes, we are talking about Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Then comes other  emotional genre movie like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and so on... But 'Gippi' is gonna be one of a kind.

This is the first time, Dharma will be producing a only for kids movie! And the big news is Karan has already selected the lead actor - Riya Vij, 13 from Delhi and the shooting is almost coming to an end.
