The ‘Khalnayak’ of khalnayaks

If there were ever to be an award for the ‘Most Enigmatic Anti-hero’ in India, then Sanjay Dutt would definitely be dancing his way away – in his typical ‘Khalnayak’ step – to the trophy. This statement itself shall resonate not only with all of Sanjay Dutt’s fans but with all movie-lovers across the nation.
Having turned 52 years old on 29th July, 2011, he looks his meanest best as he dons the antagonist role of ‘Kancha’ in Agneepath, a Karan Johan production. Sanjay Dutt seems to have discovered new layers to portray as the legendary villain of Agneepath. His rustic look oozing with wickedness has even left director Karan Malhotra and producer Karan Johar astonished, who has in fact seen Sanjay Dutt grow from a chirpy kid to a terrifying Bollywood villain.

As Johar sat to talk about his childhood buddy he slipped into nostalgia saying, “Our fathers (Yash Johar and Sunil Dutt) were good friends. Sanju used to call my father buddha uncle because dad had salt and pepper hair and was partially bald very early in life. Just the other day I was over at his home for dinner and I met his two adorable kids Shahran and Iqra. Sanju was telling his son to call me buddha uncle! It was a very nostalgic moment."
