New Age Directors
Indian Cinema a canvas which has been painted by many fresh colors off late…colors that have been painted by young directors, who dare to break the norms of age old direction. Dharma in the recent years has exhibited lot of young talents like Ayan Mukerji, Punit Malhotra, Siddharth Malohotra , Tarun Mansukhani & Rensil D'souza.
Right from Kurbaan (2009) Wake up Sid (2009) each film showcased an angle which highlighted a different blend of thoughts right from a teenagers tangled mind to a grave Islamic issue & range up to a Contemporary Luv Story! These films individually appealed the different sects & had something fresh & different to offer.

Soon we have Shakun Batra who’s directing Short Term Shaadi, another film that showcases work of yet another young talent. With this exciting young wave in the Indian Industry, the experience will just get Bigger!

Pandemonium at Agneepath sets
Recently we posted about Hrithik’s unfortunate incident at the Versova set while shooting for ‘Agneepath’ remake. They say lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice, we’re guessing Hrithik is the exception to the rule. Once again while shooting, this time for the Ganpati festivals sequence, while dancing with the diya, there was an accident oil spill on his hand. To worsen the matter while shooting for the gulaal scene, an overzealous junior artiste got caught up in the moment and threw the gulaal in Hrithik’s eyes.
Pandemonium broke out when Hrithik cried out in pain and upon realizing what had happened, everyone rushed in to help Hrithik. He was made to sit on a chair, wash the gulaal from his eyes and later on cold towels and cotton wool was brought in to wipe the gulaal out. A doctor was called in as Hrithik was still hurting. Though Karan offered to can the shoot, being the professional that he is Hrithik offered to continue with the shoot.
Well we truly hope Hrithik doesn’t come across more accidents while shooting for ‘Agneepath’. Fingers crossed!

Hrithik bleeds during Agneepath
‘Agneepath’ the original film starring Amitabh Bachchan and named after Harivansh Rai Bachchan's famous poem, is being remade with Hrithik Roshan as the lead. Recently shooting for the movie was taking place at the Versova studio where the scene demanded Hrithik break a coconut. Several retakes had to be taken to perfect the scene, later on after the scene completion did everyone notice that Hrithik’s hand was bleeding. Being well known as the true perfectionist that he is he didn’t complain at all about his hand and hadn’t bothered to inform anybody about the injury.
Hrithik was given first aid and the shoot was cancelled for the day. Although it is said to be lucky if some actor gets hurt on Dharma movies set as the movie turns out to be a hit, all we want is our actors hale and hearty no matter what. And hats off to Hrithik who has shown time and again that he who suffers pain indeed has the most to gain.

KJo signs 'Robin Slater' for Agneepath
Karan Johar has thrilled for two reasons: one, about remaking Agneepath, a cult classic that his father Yash Johar made and two, about signing Hollywood make-up artist Robin Slater, who happens to be a two-time Oscar nominee.
Slater will design the look for both Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt in the remake.

Slater is not new to Bollywood though. Our source said, "Robin has known Karan for some time now. She also worked on SRK's look in My name Is Khan."
The late Mukul S Anand directed the 1990 original, which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty and Danny Denzongpa in the lead roles. The remake will be directed by Karan Malhotra and is already on floors.
The source added, "To design a special look for Vijay Deenanath Chauhan's character and that of Kancha Cheena's played by Hrithik and Sanju respectively, Robin was chosen again."
Apparently, Slater is currently in Mumbai and is working on both Hrithik's and Sanjay's looks. And guess what? Both their looks will be very different from the looks sported by Amitabh Bachchan and Danny in the original.
The shooting has already begun, they say, but the looks are being kept under wraps.
When contacted, Karan Malhotra, the director of the film, confirmed the news and said, "Yes, Robin Slater is on board." However he refused to divulge any further details about the looks of the cast.
Robin Slater has been the make-up artist for many Hollywood blockbusters, including Just Married, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Planet of The Apes and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas apart from others.

SRK to be a professor again
What happens when you bring together Karan Johar, one of Bollywood’s most successful directors and producers and Shah Rukh Khan, the king of charm, talent and wit? A sparkling gem of a masterpiece and that’s what we are going to witness when ‘Student Of the Year’ releases.
This movie, which is also being co-produced by SRK, is a launch platform for newbies like Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Alia and David Dhawan’s son Varun and Siddharth Malhotra. Although SRK was reported to play a cameo by the media, he is in fact playing a very pivotal role as the professor in the storyline.
What everybody is eagerly looking forward to is the fact that coincidentally SRK had donned the hat of a professor in ‘Chamatkar’, SRK’s initial year super hit movie. History is surely going to repeat itself and this movie too is going to add another feather in SRK’s ever bulging hat. Karan Johar is presently crafting SRK’s role and has taken a month long break from all his assignments to finish it.
‘Student Of the Year’ surely going to be portray Shah Rukh Khan as one of the most dashing and debonair professors we’ve seen on screen yet. Well we will be waiting and we guess so will you!!
