35 Years Of Phenomenal Cinema, 35 Years Of Dharma

It is all fireworks for Dharma Productions today as we turn 35. The journey began in 1980 when Yash Johar, with eyes full of dreams, founded this film production and distribution company. His son, Karan Johar, took the legacy forward to make Dharma the cinematic phenomenon that it is today.

We celebrate this day by reminiscing the memorable songs and zingy dialogues from all Dharma movies. We are thankful to the fans and admirers of Dharma who have filled the digital space with their hearty wishes on this day. We would also like to thank Sidharth Malhotra, Ronnie Screwvala, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and other reputed members of the film fraternity who tweeted about their experience and journeys with Dharma.

Let’s look back at some of the unforgettable memories that Dharma has given us. the love and friendship equation in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, love for family in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, loving your independence in Wake Up Sid, sacrificing love in Kal Ho Na Ho and love knowing no boundaries in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. Over the years, these movies have created a special place in everyone’s hearts.

Whether it’s the chartbusting albums, catchy phrases or grand sets, Dharma has always painted an awe-inspiring picture for the audiences. It is all about unique stories, beautiful storytelling and a magical transformation of thoughts into motion picture. It is not only a celebration of 35 years of phenomenal cinema, it is the commemoration of films that made us laugh, cry and fall in love.

Happy Rakshabandhan!

Siblings are special, for innumerable reasons! They share that same space in your mommy’s womb, they share the same childhood values, the relatives, the upbringing and the many stories and secrets that you probably can’t share with anybody. Siblings are our first best friends who we can confess almost anything to. We can fight with them have fun with them, play pranks with them, and the best part is that they’re your perfect partners in crime. There’s nothing like having your siblings to grow along with, and then, no matter where you relocate, your special bond always remains intact. When you have an elder brother like Vijay, you can be the soft hearted like Shiksha, who can rely on his protection in Agneepath. When you have a brother like Shiv, you can be like the adorable Jiya, who’ll do fun things with him as depicted in Kal Ho Naa Ho. Thus, on this beautiful day Dharma Movies wishes you a very Happy Rakshabandhan! May the sweetness of this special bond keep increasing :)

So do you luv your Luv Story?

It’s funny how one can fall in love with the most unexpected person in the most unexpected way. When someone loves you, they don't have to say it; you can tell by the way they treat you. One should never look for love but let love find him or her.
It was a crazy sight when Jay, who hated Luv stories, and a diehard romantic like Simran fell in love with each other.

Here are top 7 reasons why boys find it hard to survive in a relationship!
  1. It gets intense when guys have to choose between sports shoes and casuals.
  2. Girlfriends get dramatic about almost everything, even the color of the guy’s tie.
  3. It takes an effort to remember dates: Birthdays, anniversaries, milestones etc.
  4. No time for friends.
  5. Life is surrounded by red roses & heart shaped balloons. eww…eww…
  6. Require to take permission for literally everything. “Baby can I go over to my friend’s house to watch a game of football?”
  7. You compulsorily have to share your passwords with your girlfriend. Why God...why??

Even though boyfriends go through a lot of adjustments, girls too have their equal share. What is most important in any relationship is to be happy with the person we are with.

Here’s celebrating the 4th Anniversary of Jay and Simran’s cute and funny story - ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ :)
