The Indian Independence Day is celebrated throughout the country on 15th August every year with great splendor, joy and respect for our country. There are a number of cultural programmes that are organized on this day, and children love to watch and participate in such events. Independence Day is dedicated to all those brave leaders and freedom fighters who fought relentlessly for their nation’s freedom.
Independence Day is a very patriotic day for every Indian citizen. It tells us that no matter which country you go to or where you stay, you will always have Indian blood running through your veins. It teaches us never to forget the soil we were born on. A great example is from the film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, where the vibrant Anjali (Kajol) keeps on urging the family to sing the National Anthem even though they are staying in another country. She believes that even though they are in a different country, they should never forget the rich heritage they are born in, and that they should be proud of it.
So, why don’t we all do our bit by respecting what this lovely nation has given us. Jai Hind!
