Happy Friendship Day

Friends always bring happiness and fun to our lives. They can liven up any situation. They know when we’re upset and try their best to cheer us up. All our friends play a very crucial role in our lives and every relationship grows on the foundation of true friendship. Who better to portray this strong bond of friendship than the beautiful films showcased by Dharma throughout the years?

Nothing captures true friendship other than Bollywood films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Dostana’,’ Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Student Of The Year’, they showcase the untainted and long lasting friendship of Rahul and Anjali, Sameer and Kunal, Bunny and Naina and Rohan and Abhi respectively. These films teach us that friends are dime a dozen but there is always that one friend that takes a special place in our hearts. These films make us believe that true friendship does not only exist in books and just as any other relationship has its ups and downs, so does it happen with your best friend. That does not mean that he/she hates you, it just shows the amount of love and care they exude towards you. Dharma films teach us to be understanding towards our friends and always have their back no matter how difficult the situation is.

If this makes you feel nostalgic, it’s time you pick up the phone and call the Rahul/Anjali, Bunny/Naina in your life and tell them how much you mean to them. Adios amigo

Happy Friendship Day!

First of all, here’s wishing each one of you a very happy friendship day! A day alone shall never be enough to celebrate all those special people we call our friends who make each day of our life a celebration. We at Dharma celebrate friends as much as we can through our movies! It gives us immense joy to watch Rahul and Anjali fight and make up just like best friends do! While there’s no comparing Bunny, Avi, Aditi and Naina’s crazy friendship which beautifully unfolds the journey of growing up in life! And then, we meet Neha, Sam and Kunal who’re just there by each other’s side and believe that they can solve any problem. But isn’t that true? No matter what the problem is, your friends will always have an answer to your problems- the wackiest, the coolest, the most stupid and rarely the cleverest solutions, but the ones which always bring relief! And when these solutions get more sensible, it means that your best friend is none other than your mom or dad like Naina’s mom Jeniffer or Rishi’s dad Sam! And then, there are some friends who are just there, when you have no one else, like Aisha for Sid and Kaali for Vijay. At the end of the day, talking to a friend about any or every problem of yours just makes everything alright! That’s what Riana and Rahul do, that’s what Simran and Jay do. So here’s our dedication to our best friends, “Jaane kyu, dil jaanta hai… Tu hai toh I’ll be alright! ;)”
