Vijay had lost his father because of Kancha, who was the self-proclaimed ruler in the village of Maandwa. Everyone in the village was terrorized by him. His intense & unpredictable character made him intimidating. The bald look & the gigantic figure that he was, made the character of Kancha all the more gory.
