Celebrating 69 years of Independence Dharma style

The Indian Independence Day is celebrated throughout the country on 15th August every year with great splendor, joy and respect for our country. There are a number of cultural programmes that are organized on this day, and children love to watch and participate in such events. Independence Day is dedicated to all those brave leaders and freedom fighters who fought relentlessly for their nation’s freedom.

Independence Day is a very patriotic day for every Indian citizen. It tells us that no matter which country you go to or where you stay, you will always have Indian blood running through your veins. It teaches us never to forget the soil we were born on. A great example is from the film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, where the vibrant Anjali (Kajol) keeps on urging the family to sing the National Anthem even though they are staying in another country. She believes that even though they are in a different country, they should never forget the rich heritage they are born in, and that they should be proud of it.

So, why don’t we all do our bit by respecting what this lovely nation has given us. Jai Hind!

‘Brothers’ is hitting it big at the screens!

Dharma Productions’ ‘Brothers’, which hit the theaters today, is already being showered with applauses and raving reviews for several reasons.

Having waited for the family drama for a long time, the audiences are overwhelmed with the power-packed action, the thrill, and the light-hearted romance between the leading couple David (Akshay Kumar) and Jenny (Jacqueline Fernandez).

The martial arts induced action is worth a mention here and the efforts both the lead actors have employed to shoot the scenes are inspiring to the core. The movie captures the lives of two estranged brothers, David (Akshay) and Monty (Sidharth), giving the audience a glimpse of their blood against blood story.

Jacqueline is as sweet as ever in her very first non-glamorous role. Her acting on screen is totally stunning, leaving the audience awed by her performance. Also, in supporting roles, we see Jackie Shroff, Shefali Shah, and Ashutosh Rana in focal positions in the story.

The cherry on the cake is the absolutely mesmerizing item number ‘Mera Naam Mary Hai’ performed by Kareena Kapoor Khan who looks sizzling hot!

Watch ‘Brothers’ for the sheer grandiosity of the performances that will leave you speechless.

Happy Friendship Day

Friends always bring happiness and fun to our lives. They can liven up any situation. They know when we’re upset and try their best to cheer us up. All our friends play a very crucial role in our lives and every relationship grows on the foundation of true friendship. Who better to portray this strong bond of friendship than the beautiful films showcased by Dharma throughout the years?

Nothing captures true friendship other than Bollywood films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Dostana’,’ Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Student Of The Year’, they showcase the untainted and long lasting friendship of Rahul and Anjali, Sameer and Kunal, Bunny and Naina and Rohan and Abhi respectively. These films teach us that friends are dime a dozen but there is always that one friend that takes a special place in our hearts. These films make us believe that true friendship does not only exist in books and just as any other relationship has its ups and downs, so does it happen with your best friend. That does not mean that he/she hates you, it just shows the amount of love and care they exude towards you. Dharma films teach us to be understanding towards our friends and always have their back no matter how difficult the situation is.

If this makes you feel nostalgic, it’s time you pick up the phone and call the Rahul/Anjali, Bunny/Naina in your life and tell them how much you mean to them. Adios amigo
